Who we are

Confy is operated by Cornel Ștefănescu, an individual domiciled in Romania. You can contact us about privacy at privacy@confy.online. For organizer accounts and operation of the site, we act as data controller. For participant data uploaded by an organizer, the organizer is the controller and we process it on their behalf.

What we collect

• Organizers: name, email and workspace details.
• Participants: name and email provided by the organizer, selected roles, saved and rated sessions, reminder preferences.
• Usage: basic technical data and, if you agree, analytics data.

How we use it

We process account and planner data to provide the service, send invitations and requested reminders, and show recommendations. We use technical data to secure and maintain the site. Optional analytics runs only with consent. Where we are the controller, these activities rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in service security, legal obligations where applicable, or consent for optional analytics. We don’t sell personal data or use it for advertising.

What organizers see

Organizers see whether a participant has activated their planner and aggregated session ratings. Ratings shown to other attendees are anonymous averages.

Who we share it with

We share data with providers needed to operate Confy, such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, programme extraction and consent-based analytics. We may also disclose data where required by law. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism where required. Contact us for details about the providers and safeguards relevant to your data.

How long we keep it

We retain personal data only while needed to provide the conference planner, support organizer requests and meet applicable legal obligations. Organizers can remove participant data sooner. Retention depends on the conference and the type of record; contact us for details or to request deletion.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing. You can withdraw consent for optional analytics at any time in Analytics settings. Participants can also contact the conference organizer directly. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
